Get ready for transition.

Depending on the products and services you use, there may be actions you’ll need to take before your transition date.

We’ll provide personalized information throughout the transition. The checklist below can help you prepare.

Some actions may not apply to you right away. We’ll provide personalized instructions before your transition date and let you know if additional action is required.

What’s needed from you

Before transition

  • Keep your contact information up to date. Confirm that your email address and other contact details are current in FCU Community Financial online banking, so you receive important transition updates and instructions.
  • Review your communications. Read all letters, emails, and updates carefully and take note of any actions that apply to your accounts.
  • Save important banking records. Download or print any historical e-Statements, cheque images, and detailed transaction history you want to keep.
  • Make note of your Interac e-Transfer® contacts and download your e-Transfer transaction history. This information will not be transferred to Vancity Digital Banking.
  • Complete pending Interac e-Transfer® transactions. Transactions that remain pending will not be transferred to the new system.
  • Review recurring and future-dated bill payments. Your bill payees will transfer to Vancity Digital Banking, but recurring bill payments will not be available. You’ll need to schedule each payment individually and set up any future-dated payments scheduled for after your transition.
  • Download the Vancity mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. You’ll need the Vancity mobile app once you transition to Vancity Digital Banking.
  • Moving to one MEMBER CARD® debit card. If you’ve received a notification about moving to one MEMBER CARD® debit card, make sure you have the correct card or MEMBER CARD number before your transition. After your transition is complete and you’ve confirmed the correct card is working, securely destroy any cards that are no longer active.
  • Watch for transition updates. Check your email and visit this site regularly for confirmed dates, reminders, and instructions.
  • Business members: Download any Small Business Invoicing information and approval history you need to retain. Small Business Invoicing records, Interac e-Transfer® approval history and bill payment approval history will not be transferred to Vancity Digital Banking.
  • Business members: Let your business delegates and anyone else who accesses your organization’s digital banking know about the upcoming changes. Their access will not transfer automatically to Vancity systems and will need to be set up again after your transition is complete.

After transition

  • Sign in to Vancity Digital Banking using the instructions you’ll receive by mail. We’ll send you more detailed sign-in instructions by mail two weeks before your transition.
  • Set up Interac e-Transfer® Autodeposit again, if applicable, as your existing registration will not transfer over to Vancity Digital Banking.
  • Update your new account information with employers, government agencies, vendors, and other payors.
  • Update your CRA direct-deposit information, if applicable.
  • Confirm that you can access your joint accounts. If an account is missing, please contact us for help.
  • Securely destroy any debit cards identified in this letter as cancelled.
  • Business members. Set up access again for your business delegates and anyone else who accesses your business’s digital banking, if applicable.
